"Being the first child to go to college was a huge success for my family and I. Once I stepped on the campus of Washington State University I realized that the campus was not that diverse as I had thought. I wanted to get involve in something that would represent me as a Latina woman and as a student of color. Gamma Alpha Omega Sorority Inc. became that organization I wanted to be part of. It would represent me as who I am. I really like what their goals were and pillars. They had everything I was looking for.. Sisterhood, a family to be therefor me but most importantly encouragement and support. Now that I'm a member I really see that there was more to it them what I thought. Something that can not be explain with words. Thank You all for giving me this opportunity and experience."

"I was introduced to GAO by two lovely young ladies by the nicknames Poderosa and Chulis my first semester as a transfer student to WSU. Although I was hesitant, I decided to be open minded and I started spending some time with the active members as well as with the other girls that had an interest in the sorority. After a few gatherings, I decided that I wanted to learn more about the organization. Throughout the pledging process I learned not only about the organization, but also that I could be stronger and weaker than what I had thought and never in my life would have known if I did not go through the process. My pledge class was faced with difficult challenges, but we came together to overcome them and with that, we were able to form an unbreakable bond that I will cherish for the rest of my life. Although I was already involved and still continue to be a part of other organizations on campus before becoming a Gamma, I feel that this organization offers not only opportunities to help out the Pullman community, but it offers much more. It offers a wonderful sisterhood and I feel that with the support of my sisters I will become an even stronger person, leader and scholar, than what I am now."

"I knew that when I came to WSU I wanted to be involved, especially in the Latino community. I did some research and came across Gamma...Of all the organizations I looked into Gamma had everything I was looking for: community service, friendship, and leadership. Getting to know the Gamma girs made my decision even clearer because they truly represented what the organization stands for. I look forward to continuing the great accomplishments that the older Gammas have done. I know joining Gamma was the best decision I have made at WSU." :)

"I always knew that I would attend WSU but I never thought that I would join a sorority. My very good friends "the Lauras" got me excited about joining. They were the ones who always kept me up to date about what was happening with Gamma. I loved the idea of joining because they were doing it. I loved being around them. I got closer to them during the process. I also met my wonderful line sisters, who I love. They are wonderful and would not trade any of them for anything in the world. Gamma has given me the opportunity to meet wonderful women who I know I will stay in touch with for the rest of my life."

"I decided to join Gamma Alpha Omega Sorority, Inc. because it reminded me of what I had back home, a family. The values and pillars of Gamma Alpha Omega not only paralleled my own but enhanced them as well. I knew that by joining Gamma I would find the support and encouragement to succeed in my academics. This organization has also given me the opportunity to get involved and give back to the community. In addition GAO has granted me five beautiful line sisters which I have learned so much from. To my Lambdas, I love you all and will forever cherish all the memories we have together. I am truly proud to form part of GAO and look forward to all the years of sisterhood that are yet to come. Gamma Alpha Omega has given me the greatest gift of all, sisters."

"When I first arrived to the campus of WSU, I was full of emotions and uncertainty. As the weeks went on by I had found a group of determined ladies that impacted me to where I wanted to see myself involved. The mere fact that these ladies were based on five pillars: Honesty, Integrity, Leadership, Scholarship, and Unity, and to see that each and every one of them carried these distinct characteristics was enough for me. Gamma Alpha Omega has the opportunity to provide our communities with exceptional role models. Not only do these role models carry such individuality, but the also carry the strength and dedication to succeed in what ever obstacle is presented. This strong organization gives back to the community, and at the same time it also allows each individual to grow and empower themselves. That is powerful! Gamma has created a special bond with each and every single one of my "sisters." I can truly say that if I ever were to need anything my sisters would be there for me. This is my family away from home..This bond that was created is destined to be everlasting!!!!"
