I was born in California but I was raised in the small "town" of Connell, Washington. I have three brothers and no sisters. Due to the fact that I don't have biological sisters and that the majority of my friends weren't in Pullman with me I was seeking friendships in which the girls would understand where I was coming from and were going through similar situations as me. Joining a traditional sorority never crossed my mind; in fact I said I wouldn't join one. As soon as I discovered that non-traditional sororities excited was when my interest to join one sparked. During “Conexion”, I was introduced to the different non-traditional sororities on campus. The reputation, respect, the pillars, and the members of Gamma Alpha Omega are what inspired my interest. 'Til this day, the feeling I have towards Gamma Alpha Omega is something indescribable; all I can say it that I made the right choice! As a Neophyte, I inspire to offer Gamma Alpha Omega the best of my abilities in order to continue the growth of this sorority as well as my own personal growth. I am looking forward to my life commitment with Gamma Alpha Omega which I am more than positive is one of the best decision I've made thus far!

Ever since attending WSU I was sure that I would want to be involved in various community oriented organizations where I would be able to reach to others as well as helping myself improve both my leadership and speaking skills. I guess coming from a small town where not much things were going on, drove me to become the individual that I am. I enjoy helping out others, as well being able to give back to my community to best of my potential. While attending WSU it never crossed my mind to become part of a Greek organization here on campus, during the second semester I started to talk to a few of the ladies that were part of Gamma Alpha Omega and they seemed pretty outgoing, they even dressed up looking all professional and I remember saying, "hey I want to be able to dress like that and inform others the love for my organization." When I became more aware of what Gamma Alpha Omega had to offer as far as leadership and scholarship skills I also saw a form of strong friendships among the girls. Though school and family are my top priorities I also wanted to become part of a group that I would have more of a support system, but also an organization that would help me to become stronger within me as well as more confident to reach my academic as personal goals. After finishing the intake process this semester I feel honored and grateful for what I have accomplished, I don't regret it at all, I strongly agree that everything was worth it and I’d definitely do it again. I'd definitely feel that the more you accomplish the stronger and more confident you feel that now I can accomplish anything that comes in front of me. I'm just so excited to know that I have another family I can count on even when things go wrong I know I have my girls around me. I hope to provide my leadership skills, and community involvement to build stronger leaders and a stronger organization.
