"When I first came to WSU, I didn't know anyone. I came to WSU to start a new beginning and be around new people. The girls of Gamma Alpha Omega accepted me into their arms and truly showed that they cared for me and what I believe in. Right away I knew GAO was for me. These girls showed a dedication and determination to succeed in life and this was something I have rarely been exposed to. Their sisterhood brought me a clear image of what they were really about. These girls are out their trying to make a difference and getting their voices heard. They do community service, volunteer work and at the same time, have fun. Their sisterly bonds would provide me with the capability to have a "family" away from home. Being around the sisters of Gamma Alpha Omega showed me that I too can make a difference. I knew that they would never let me down and be there for me always. Gamma Alpha Omega has many qualities and dreams, and I truly wanted to be a part of it."

"Becoming a member of Gamma Alpha Omega Sorority, Inc was one of the greatest decisions I have ever made! As an active member, I learned business etiquette and work ethics that have continued to benefit me in my professional career. In addition, the bonds I have formed with my fellow sisters are still ever growing. It is an amazing feeling to know I will always have a sister to call if I am in need of a friend, a study-buddy, or just someone to talk to.”

"The reasons why I chose Gamma Alpha Omega are because when I first came to WSU I felt like an outsider. Being a minority made me feel like I didn't belong since there is so little diversity (only 3.3% latinos @WSU). But anyways, I needed to be a part of an organization that would make me feel proud about who I am. When I met the active members for the first time they felt like old friends and made me feel comfortable being around them. As I learned more about Gamma I really respected everything it stood for. I knew from the first info meeting I went to, that I wanted to be a part of Gamma. So through the pledge process I learned a lot about myself and how important it is to keep Gamma going for future members because we need to get more latinas and other minorities into college. As an active member now, I feel very honored to be a part of Gamma. I have great respect for our founders and charters who believed in Gamma and made it a reality."

"I chose to pledge Gamma Alpha Omega because I wanted to become a leader on campus and have an active voice in the multicultural community. I did some research on other sororities on campus and I found out that I really wanted to become a part of this organization because of what GAO stands for and our pillars of Honesty, Integrity, Leadership, Scholarship, and Unity are what I want to incorporate into my life to become a better all-around person. I have a made a special bond with all my sisters of GAO and I am very proud to be a Gamma, where I know I can always count on people to be there for me at all times. Pledging for GAO has been the greatest experience that I will never forget and through that Gamma has made me realize that I am capable of doing anything I put my mind to."

"I joined Gamma Alpha Omega because I saw what a great group of women that Gamma was. These women stand for and show our pillars of honesty, integrity, leadership, scholarship, and unity in all they do. I too strongly believe in each of these pillars. I feel Gamma offers a wonderful service and opportunity to the community of WSU as well as to each individual member. I feel that Gamma has and will continue to make me a stronger person, both in my personal and professional life. Gamma has already given me the opportunity to develop my leadership skills, become more involved in the community, and given me a great deal of confidence. Because of Gamma I have met some great women who I feel an unbreakable bond to. The support and encouragement I have from all my sisters is amazing. I feel so lucky and blessed to know each of my sisters. I am proud to be a sister of Gamma Alpha Omega and look forward to the years to come."
