"Joining GAO, I feel was one of the best decisions I have made, next to coming back to school. I came to Washington State University in hopes to better myself personally and professionally. I believe that GAO will definitely give me the opportunity to achieve both of those goals and so much more. Becoming a member has given me not only a chance to help out myself academically wise, but also gives me a chance to help out the community as well. Its through community service that you learn about yourself and your surroundings and become a better leader. Also through GAO I have not only gain three awesome line sisters, but also a whole nation of sisters. And hopefully a better bond between my blood sister, Marquita and me. I am thankful for the opportunity to be apart of a great organization and for my new sisters. Thank you all."

"I am a very shy person, and I have to first decide if I want to do something. After four years, I finally decided that I wanted to be part of something here at WSU. This opportunity came in the form of Gamma Alpha Omega, Sorority Inc. I never imagined I would be in a sorority, but I really wanted to be a part of something that I could take with me even after graduation. I wanted to also help out my community, and meet new people. I knew a couple of the members from a while back, and so I always had this interest in the organization. After going through the process, I can truly say that I learned many things! I have much appreciation for the little things that people never notice. GAO has also given me that opportunity to find friends in my line sisters. We all have our differences, but together we make something unique. I don’t think I would have ever met these women, if I had never wanted to take part of this Organization. I am so glad I did, and now I have gained even more sisters, and friends as well."

“I am a transfer student from Wenatchee Valley College. When I transferred here I did not know anyone, until I ran into Lucy Garibay and Laura Covarrubias at the fall step show. I had actually gone to high school with them and they told me about GAO and the buddy program. After attending a couple of socials, I began to understand what Gamma was all about and decided to join; the reason being that it was nice to have group of women who had the same academic, personal, and professional goals as I do. Not to mention that it meant having a great group of friends, and now sisters”
